The American Museum of Science & Energy Foundation was chartered in September 1996 and organized to further the cultural, educational and scientific programs of the American Museum of Science & Energy Museum (AMSE). The Foundation's purpose is to assist in the operation and development of the museum, which seeks a broad public, private and volunteer support base. As a 501(c) (3) corporation, the foundation's tax exempt status provides an added benefit when seeking financial and other donations. The foundation is governed by a 14 member Board of directors elected by the foundation membership. Foundation membership is open to any individual who applies for the appropriate AMSE membership category.
Mission Statement: To provide leadership in assisting AMSE to maintain a positive visitor experience through strong support to its programs.
Vision Statement: To grow AMSE to be a premier museum for educating the public in science, technology and the history of the Manhattan Project.
Values Statement: To support and promote the programs and exhibits of AMSE through its works, wealth and wisdom.
