Charlie & Kiwi's Evolutionary Adventure, where visitors can join Charlie as he travels back in time to the age of the dinosaurs to discover the kiwis' ancestors and evidence of how evolution works. The story theater, exhibits, and discovery area combine to show evidence of the evolutionary connections between dinosaurs and birds, The story of Charlie's curiosity leads to his understanding of how evolution works with engaging activities about variation, inheritance, selection, time and adaptation, which are key evolutionary concepts. The traveling exhibition is organized in three parts including Story Theater, Exhibits, and Discovery Area. AMSE Second Level.  More info...

Isotone Concert: Tribute to Lise Meitner   In honor of this pioneering Jewish woman physicist, with a performance of the Tennessee premier of Sacred Sisters by New York composer Victoria Bond, as well as a commissioned work for violin, percussion, harp, and bass. Featuring harpist Cindy Hicks. Tickets for the concert are available by calling the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association (ORCMA) box office at (865) 483-5569. Isotone ticket price is $17.50 and AMSE member advance ticket is $12.50. "Isotone" Concert is at 3 pm in AMSE Auditorium

Space & Geology Teacher Workshop: Free in-service training for elementary and middle school teachers featuring hands-on activities for teaching Space and Geology.
